Big Five
Your position across five broad trait dimensions, including openness, conscientiousness, and emotional reactivity.
About & technology
Personality is complicated. A useful assessment should help make sense of it.
NeoType builds adaptive personality assessments for websites, practices, and platforms. We bring the questions, scoring, and report experience together so you can see how they work as a whole.
This site is our working demonstration. The complete assessment and personal report are free to try. We limit new sessions each day to keep the service manageable while people evaluate it.
No account or email signup is required. If you want to discuss a project, you can send a project inquiry through the contact form.
01 / The assessment
Some answers establish a clear pattern early. Others leave two possibilities close together. The adaptive part of the test uses that difference to decide which questions are worth asking next. It is designed to spend less time repeating what is already clear and more time checking close calls.
Evidence builds across related answers. Follow-up and final-check questions help distinguish similar 16-type and Enneagram profiles. The full demo also includes dedicated Big Five and attachment questions; those sections follow a fixed sequence. Expect roughly 110–154 questions in total, depending on the route.
Establish patterns across related questions.
Use targeted follow-ups where type choices remain close.
Connect scored results with the matching report content.
02 / The profile
Each system asks a different question. Seeing them together gives you more to work with than a single label.
Your position across five broad trait dimensions, including openness, conscientiousness, and emotional reactivity.
A best-fit pattern for how you direct attention, take in information, make decisions, and approach structure.
A core type and wing that offer language for recurring motivations, priorities, and responses under pressure.
Patterns in how you experience closeness, reassurance, and independence in relationships.
03 / The results
Defined scoring rules determine your results. With the same version of the assessment, the same completed answer pattern produces the same scores and type selections.
Your report then combines measured results with writing selected from our report library. Big Five and attachment findings come from your answers. The longer type descriptions explore patterns associated with your type combination; they are interpretation, not additional measurements of you.
This demo uses no live AI generation. The report is assembled from existing content, with charts and explanations you can read immediately.
Room for nuance
Close scores and nearby patterns matter. A best-fit type gives you a starting point; your experience and circumstances still matter when reading it.
Development checks cover scoring, question routes, synthetic profiles, and report generation. Those are software checks, not clinical validation. NeoType is for self-reflection and discussion, not diagnosis or employment screening.
Keep what you learn
Answers save as you go. You can revise the last three answers or restart with confirmation. Return in the same browser to continue without an account.
Online recovery lasts 30 days after your latest answer change or first report completion. Download the full report for offline reading, export your results as JSON, or copy a prompt to explore them with your own chatbot.
For your audience
A customer may only need one part of our public demo: Big Five, 16-type preferences, the combined 16-type and Enneagram package, or attachment patterns. We can also discuss a care-preference questionnaire, or questions and scoring built around your own framework.
Depending on the project, results can become reports, activities, or features within an existing product. Hosting, licensing, API connections, and AI-assisted interpretation are scoped individually. Approximate DISC-style results and other conversions are derived views, not independent test scores.
